is an ongoing publishing project,
a small-scale energy conversion device.
It uses grammatically and
spelledly flawed English as a translation and writing strategy
to translate knowledge and information typically written and disseminated
in the primary language.
Through continuous copying, dissemination, and redistribution,
chicagoturbine creates new visibility for narratives in minority languages,
enabling it to disrupt and challenge existing rules and power structures in
the primary language, intervene in the world in a lightweight yet powerful way,
and become a medium for exporting
new energy.

and conceptual model.
It collects texts written in English
explaining the operating principles of turbines and retranslates them
using online translation tools,
imbuing them with a mechanical feel.
