Say That Again?
Daily conversations that native speakers find commonplace might be predicaments that non-native speakers must strive to overcome. Through a set of “English textbooks” and physical barriers illustrating everyday scenarios where language barriers often occur—on the street, in the phone, at the hospital, restaurant......— this project seeks to provide a perspective in which native speakers can put themselves in the shoes of non-native speakers, empathizing with the difficulties and discomforts that non-native speakers face in unfamiliar language environments.
